The famous Dominos Pizza brand has also suffered from data leaks as well. According to security experts, details of 18 crore orders are available on the black web. In early April, a robber claimed to have obtained 13TB Dominos data. Information not included for details of more than 180,00,000 orders containing phone numbers, email addresses, payment details, and credit card details of users.
Security expert Rajshekhar Rajaria took to Twitter to report that Dominos had once again breached information. He pointed out that details of the 18 crore order have already been made public as criminals built a search engine on the Dark web. If you are a regular Dominos consumer, you may find your details there. Information disclosed includes name, email, phone number, and GPS location.
In early April, Alon Gal, CTO of cybersecurity company Hudson Rock unveiled the incident. He had claimed that the personal information of users was being sold by hackers for about 10 BTC. Gal then reported that the hackers planned to build a search engine so they could research the data.
The alleged vulnerability includes 10 lakh credit card details and even the addresses of people who ordered Pizza in Dominos. However, Dominos India in a statement to Gadget 360 denied the leak of user information.
“Jubilant FoodWorks has been dealing with a recent data security incident. No data relating to the financial information of any person was obtained and this incident had no effect on performance or business. As a rule, we do not store the financial information or credit card details of our customers, so no such information has been compromised. Our team of experts is investigating the matter and we have taken the necessary steps to prevent this incident, "he said.
